Sabrina has been practicing massage since 2001 and at The Massage Sanctuary since 2013 where she enjoys being a part of her clients' self-care regimen. Modalities she incorporates into her sessions include Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, acupressure, and Lomi Lomi for a deeply relaxing and therapeutic massage.
As a therapist, Sabrina draws inspiration from Hawaiian culture and massage (Lomi Lomi). Lomi means 'to knead' in Hawaiian and Somoan languages. It incorporates long flowing strokes (which mimic ocean waves), deep tissue manipulations, and gentle joint rotations, with focus on the bones and muscles for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
She enjoys providing a calming environment for therapeutic touch to help with physical malaise, circulation, and pain reduction. A safe place to receive touch and relax can do wonders for the nervous system, bringing one out of 'fight or flight' to 'rest and digest' and easing anxiety and depression, which are so prevalent these days.
Sabrina finds unending fulfillment with her massage practice, as there is always so much more to learn about our amazing human bodies. Sabrina is also certified in yoga instruction, which created the foundation of anatomy and physiology in her own life. She loves sharing the many benefits of massage with her clients and is grateful to practice this work amidst such a beautiful, diverse community, in a place that truly is a sanctuary.
